O R D E R
The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct Cricket tournament which is to be held at Oomatchikulam Play Ground, Madurai on 19.08.2017 and 20.08.2017 based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2017 and 16.08.2017.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner and his team decided to conduct Cricket Tournament on 19.08.2017 and 20.08.2017 at Oomatchikulam Play Ground, Madurai. He further submitted that the Cricket Tournament is at the village level and this is purely to promote sports. In this connection, representations were given to the respondents on 14.08.2017 and 16.08.2017, with a request to grant permission for conducting the Cricket Tournament in the above said dates. However, the respondents have not yet considered the said representations and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that there is no objection for the petitioner to conduct 'Cricket Tournament' on 19.08.2017 and 20.08.2017.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:
The second respondent/Inspector of Police, Oomatchikulam Police Station, Madurai District, is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 14.08.2017 and 16.08.2017 and to give permission to the petitioner and the organizers, for conducting Cricket Tournament in Oomatchikulam Play Ground, Madurai, on 19.08.2017 and 20.08.2017 during day time from 10.00 a.m., to 6.00 p.m., subject to any reasonable restrictions / conditions that may be imposed by the second respondent in the interest of public and to preserve the law and order and communal harmony. Further, the petitioner and the organizers of the tournament are totally prohibited from installing or fixing any banner representing any community or political personalities.
No costs.
