ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent/Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University to publish forthwith the final results of the recruitment for the posts of Assistant Professor in the discipline of Food Science Faculty (totally 3 posts) held on 20.05.2017 in pursuance to the Notification of the 1st respondent

University in Advertisement No.2/2016 dated 26.11.2016. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.S.Vijayakumar, learned counsel for the respondent University submitted that one Dr.P.I.Ganesan, Director(Retired), Centre for Animal Health Studies, Chennai, filed a public interest writ petition in W.P.No.19475 of 2017 before the Principal Seat, seeking for a Writ of Declaration, declaring that the Circular No.10048/U.O/R.3/2017 dated 23.06.2017 issued in respect of filling up of the post of Registrar, Circular No.10048/U.O/R.3/2017 dated 23.06.2017 issued in respect of filling up of the post of Directors and Dean and Circular No.10567/E.O/R3/2017 dated 13.07.

2017 issued in respect of filling up of the post of Estate Officer issued by the 1st respondent as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to law and statutes of the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and consequently direct the respondents to initiate fresh selection process in accordance with law and as per the statutes of the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University after giving wide publicity in News Paper and Multimedia etc.

3.In view of the pendency of the aforementioned public interest writ petition, the respondent University was unable to publish the results. He further submitted that the Division Bench by order dated 04.08.2017 has dismissed the aforementioned public interest writ petition, hence, within two weeks, the respondents would publish the results.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent University and considering the fact that the public interest writ petition which is a stumbling block for the respondents to publish the results is now dismissed by the Division Bench by order dated 04.08.2017, this Court directs the respondents to publish the final results of the recruitment for the posts of Assistant Professor in the discipline of Food Science Faculty (totally 3 posts) held on 20.05.2017 in pursuance to the Notification of the 1st respondent University in Advertisement No.2/2016 dated 26.11.2016, on or before 15.09.2017. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
