Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant permission and protection to conduct Kabadi Matches for girls at State Level on the eve of independence day i.e., on 14.08.2021 and 15.08.2021 from 08.00 A.M to 8.00 P.M. at the Playground of Bharathi Sports Academy, Vadamalaisamudram, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2021.

This petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to grant permission and protection to conduct Kabadi Matches for girls at State Level on the eve of independence day I.e., on 14.08.2021 and 15.08.2021 from 08.00 A.M to 8.00 P.M. at the Playground of Bharathi Sports Academy, Vadamalaisamudram, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2021.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the request made by the petitioner was rejected because of COVID-19 protocol and the matter has become infructuous. 3. But, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that no such statement was given by the petitioner.

4. Since the matter has become infructuous, nothing survives for further consideration in this petition. Hence, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
