ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from reverting the petitioner to the post of Assistant from the post of Deputy Tahsildar, pending disposal of the appeal dated 28.05.2022.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner's name was included in the panel prepared for the post of Deputy Tahsildar in proceedings in ROC.A1/36385/2019, dated 10.03.2020. Accordingly, the petitioner was also promoted as Deputy Tahsildar and she was working in the capacity of Deputy Tahsildar, until the revised panel was prepared on 06.05.2022, in which, the petitioner's name was left out. The petitioner preferred an appeal to the Principal Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, challenging the non-inclusion of her name in the revised panel.

3.It is further submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that it is suffice that if this Court directs the petitioner's appeal is to be disposed of, within a stipulated time. In a similar case in K.Muthulakshmi vs. The Secretary to Government/Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, and others in WP(MD)No.10433 of 2022, dated 16.06.2022, this Court passed an order directing the District Collector, Virudhunagar to dispose of that petitioner's representation.

4.Heard Mr.H.Mohammed Imran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Sivanupandian, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

5.Considering the limited scope of this petition and prayer, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal, on merits and in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the respondents shall not revert the petitioner from the post of Deputy Tahsildar. 3/6

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 04.07.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No sm 4/6
