ORDER

Seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to grant permission to conduct temple festival of Sri Muppudathi Amman Temple at Sundrapandiyapuram Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2026 thereby retrieving the temple key from the 4th respondent, this writ petition is filed.

2. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor drew my attention to the order passed by this Court in W.P.Crl.(MD)No.1605 of 2026 dated 27.03.2026 2/5

filed by one R.Arumugam with respect to the same temple, in which this Court has already passed an order directing the 2nd respondent to conduct a peace committee. In this regard, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor pointed out that already a peace committee is scheduled to be conducted on 24.04.2026. The petitioner may participate on the same day.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

This Court has clearly perused the order passed by this Court in W.P.Crl.(MD)No.1605 of 2026 dated 27.03.2026, and being satisfied that this case is with respect to the same temple, the petitioner is given liberty to appear before the 2nd respondent on 24.04.2026 and actively participate in the Peace Committee. The petitioner is at liberty to provide all the necessary documents pertaining to the said temple at the time of attending the Peace Committee before the 2nd respondent. The 2nd respondent is directed to conduct the Peace Committee, receive all necessary documents from either parties and thereafter conclude the same amicably facilitating the conduct of temple festival, ensuring the participation of all the parties.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
