2. It is noted that the petitioner has challenged the impugned communication dated 22.12.2023, bearing Reference Na.Ka.No. 686/23/Aa5/Trichy, whereby a copy of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board Resolution No.294/23, dated 28.11.2023, was forwarded for appropriate action.

3. By the said Resolution, the first respondent has directed the Chief Legal Officer of the Board to prepare a draft scheme for managing the affairs of the Waqf, namely, Khader Mosque, Trichy. However, despite the Resolution of the Waqf Board, no further steps appear to have been taken so far.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the first respondent / Waqf Board to frame a scheme pursuant to its Resolution dated 28.11.2023 (Resolution No.294/23), bearing Reference Na.Ka.No. 686/2023/Aa5/Trichy, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending such exercise, the status quo with regard to the maintenance and day-to-day management of the Khader Mosque shall continue to be maintained. No costs.
