[Order of the Court was made by B.PUGALENDHI, J.] Today, Mr.N.Shanmuganathan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Keelathooval Police Station, Ramanathapuram District, is present.

2. This habeas corpus petition is filed by the petitioner for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce her minor daughter, namely, Naga Sathiya, aged about 17 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

years, who is in the illegal custody of the respondents 3 to 5.

3. On 07.01.2019, the respondent - Police had produced the detenue and at the request of the parties, the matter was referred to the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, attached to this Bench, for amicable settlement.

4. Today, the Mediation and Conciliation Centre has filed a report, dated 30.01.2019. It appears from the report that mediation completed, but no agreement was reached between the parties. It also appears that there is no illegal detention of the detenue, namely, Naga Sathiya and she is living with one Gayathri on her own volition. Since the alleged detenue is not in the illegal detention of anyone, no writ of habeas corpus can be issued. Hence, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
