Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the Impugned Disqualification Slip issued by the 2nd respondent dated 04.08.2017 vide his proceedings in C.No.R2/150/2017, rejecting the petitioner from the physical efficiency test for the post of Grade-II police constables, Grade- II Jail warders and Firemen for the year 2017 and quash the same and issue a consequential direction to the respondents to give a chance to petitioner to participate in the long jump and remaining physical efficiency test.

2.The petitioner, having passed S.S.L.C, applied for the post of Grade -II Police Constables / Grad-II Jail Warders / Fireman - 2017, when applications were called for by the respondent Police

Department. Subsequently, after passing the written examination, the petitioner was called for for the Physical Endurance Test. 3.The petitioner has come up before this Court, challenging the impugned disqualification slip dated 04.08.2017, issued by the second respondent, by which, the petitioner was disqualified in the Physical Efficiency Test. A perusal of the disqualification slip shows that the petitioner was found disqualified in the long jump event.

4.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that as the petitioner was having her menses period, she was very tired and upset, however, she was able to jump up to 2.98 mtrs, out of 3 mtrs, which is the minimum required level for being qualified. Though the female officer incharge, selected her for further round of tests, the male officer therein, did not permit the petitioner for subsequent round of tests and issued the impugned disqualification slip. He further submitted that in this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 11.08.2017, to the respondents and the same has not been considered so far. 5.Per contra, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent Police Department produced a copy of the coding sheet, wherein, it has been specifically pointed out that the petitioner covered 2.38 mts only in the long jump event and therefore, she was found disqualified.

6.The petitioner herself has admitted in the affidavit filed in support of the petition that she jumped 2.98 mts only, which itself is running short of the minimum required level for being qualified.

Therefore, the petitioner is rightly found disqualified by the respondent Police Department. 7.As far as the representation of the petitioner dated 11.08.2017, is concerned, as the entire selection process has also come to an end, this Court is unable to give any direction to the respondents in this regard and moreover she herself admitted that she jumped only 2.98 mts.

8.Hence, this Court does not find any illegality or irregularity in the impugned order of rejection. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
