ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to direct the first respondent to file the final report in Crime No.198 of 2019 dated 19.10.2019 pending on the file of the first respondent Police Station.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted a case has been registered by the petitioner against the private respondents with regard to family dispute over the property. The petitioner was brutally attacked by the private respondents and he was admitted in the hospital as inpatient. In such circumstances, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent Police and an F.I.R was registered in Crime No.198 of 2019 dated 19.10.2019 for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 323 I.P.C. Since the respondent Police has not completed the investigation and has not filed a final report, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.198 of 2019 dated 19.10.2019. He further submitted that the final report has been submitted before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nagercoil.

4. Recording the said submission, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nagercoil to take the case on file, if it is otherwise in order.
