O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondent/Joint Sub-Registrar No. 1, Periyakulam Sub-Registrar Office, Periyakulam, Theni District, to register the Judgment and Decree in O.S. No.680 of 1993, dated 09.12.2005 and order in E.P. No.55 of 2006, dated 24.07.2007. Both the orders relate to the property of the petitioner in Survey No.354/2, measuring 2 Acres 5 Cents and in Survey No. 1119/27 measuring 4 cents at Melmangalam Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District.
2.The petitioner is directed to present the aforementioned decree for registration in proper manner and comply with necessary formalities required for registration of decree, after following due procedure through online. If they are otherwise in order, a direction is issued to the respondent to register the decree. The respondent must be aware of the Government Circular that under Section 23 of Registration Act, the period of limitation for registration of Court decree had been removed. Therefore, the respondent is 2/4
directed to do the necessary registration, within a period of three weeks, from the date on which the petitioner present the decree for registration through online.
4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
