This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai, to expedite the proceedings in M.C.No.18 of 2022, within a stipulated period. 1/4

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the first petitioner/wife filed a petition in M.C.No.18 of 2022 seeking maintenance under Section 125 Cr.P.C, before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai. But, the respondent/husband, with an intention to drag on the proceedings, is taking several adjournments for the past one year, for the purpose of cross examination.

3. Considering the fact that it is a maintenance proceedings, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai, to conclude the proceedings in M.C.No.18 of 2022 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
