ORDER

The accused No.14 in S.C.No.75 of 2024 has filed this petition seeking transfer of trial in S.C.No.75 of 2024 from the file of the II Additional District and Sessions Court (PCR), Tirunelveli, to some other Court in other Districts.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, this is a sensitive murder case and the petitioner is also facing a life threat. Therefore, the petitioner seeks to transfer the trial in S.C.No.75 of 2024 from the file of the II Additional District and Sessions Court (PCR), Tirunelveli, to some other Court.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner along with other accused has caused a brutal murder inside the District Court campus. The petitioner has filed this petition in order to take away the trial from the file of the District Court, Tirunelveli and to demoralize the witnesses.

4. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

5. The petitioner, who is one of the accused in S.C.No.75 of 2024, has filed this petition that he is facing a life threat. In the event, if the petitioner is facing a life threat, he can file necessary application before the trial Court and get police protection.
