Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta to the petitioner with regard to the land and house situated in Dindigul District, Dindigul East Taluk, Thottanuthu village in S.F.No.584/3 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2017.

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta to the petitioner with regard to the land and house situated in Dindigul District, Dindigul East Taluk, Thottanuthu village in S.F.No.584/3 on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.07.2017. 2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner would state that he has been in possession and enjoyment of the land to an extent of 1100 square feet in S.F.No.584/3 situated at Thottanuthu village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, which is classified as village Natham, for the past 40 years.

4.The petitioner would further state that so many families have been residing in S.F.No.584 and in respect of 23 persons, the respondent already issued patta. But the application of the petitioner was not considered. Hence, he gave a representation on 11.07.2017. hence, the present writ petition.

5.In the light of the above facts, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
