ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.DHANDAPANI, J.) The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to send and admit the prisoner Augustin Thenraj under the custody of the respondent to Rajaji Government Hospital, Madurai, for his treatment to save his life, on the basis of the representation of the petitioner and his Advocate dated 30.04.2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's relative one Augustin Thenraj, was convicted in C.C.No.173 of 2018 on the file of the I Additional Special Court for NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, on 08.01.2024. At present, he is in Central Prison, Madurai. However, proper treatment was not given to him, thereby, the petitioner filed this writ petition before this Court, for the relief stated supra. 3.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that prior to filing of the writ petition, the convict Augustin Thenraj was admitted in Government Rajaji Hospital, Page No.2 of 4

Madurai, and he is under treatment. Hence, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
