ORDER
In connection with the petitioner's claim for medical reimbursement of the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner for his Neuro Surgery, the District Level Empowered Committee (DLEC) has recommended for reimbursement of medical expenses through its proceedings dated, 19.08.2020. 2.It is stated by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that only a part amount of the recommendation of the DLEC has been paid and that for the remaining balance amount, the Insurance Company has sought for certain original cash receipts, along with other supporting documents, through the letter dated 01.10.2021. In continuation of the Insurance Company's request, the petitioner has also sent a representation on 16.12.2021, enclosing the required documents. In view of non-consideration of his representation, the present writ petition has been filed.
3.This Court is of the view that since the DLEC has recommended for claim amount for the petitioner and the petitioner has produced all the supporting 3/6
documents as required by the Insurance Company, the Insurance Company would be directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation within a time frame. 4.In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the seventh respondent Insurance Company to forthwith disburse the medi-claim as recommended by DLEC on consideration of the petitioner's representation dated, 10.12.2021, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Writ Petition stands allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
