The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to pay the compensation under the Tamil Nadu Government Accident relief fund for the death of his son Karthick, aged about 22 years pursuant his representation, dated 19.07.2017. 2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The case of the petitioner is that his son Karthick, who completed ITI in the year 2012, was working in a private concerned. While so, on 22.04.2014, he along with his friend had gone to Cauveri river for taking holy water. During that time, he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
drowned in the water. Therefore, the petitioner gave a representation dated 19.07.2017 to the respondents seeking the relief under the Tamil Nadu Government Accident Relief Fund. Since it was not considered, the present writ petition. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
