Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned disqualification slip issued by the fourth respondent in his proceedings in C.No.R2/150/2017 dated 03.08.2017 and quash the same as illegal and consequentially to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to undergo further selection process and consider the petitioner for appointment to the post of Grade II Police Constable for the year 2017.

2.The petitioner questions the correctness of the disqualification slip dated 03.08.2017, finding him unsuitable for the post of Grade II Police Constable, since he failed in the long jump event by jumping only upto 3.22 meters. Assailing the impugned disqualification slip, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that for Ex-Servicemen category, 3.25 meters is the requisite level for being qualified. The petitioner in the first instance, had jumped upto 3.80 meters. Unfortunately, it was found as a foul play. However, in the second chance, the petitioner jumped over the line and even beyond the requisite limit, but it was noted only as 3.22 meters. Therefore, the petitioner is present before this Court with the present writ petition.

3.This Court finds no merit to entertain this writ petition since, the disqualification slip of the petitioner clearly shows that the petitioner had jumped only upto 3.22 meters in the second chance.
