*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to direct the Inspector of Police, Ariyamangalam Police Station, Trichy, to permit him to conduct Vinayagar Chadhurthi Festival at Sri Muthumariamman Kovil Thidal, Kamaraj Nagar, Ariyamangalam, Trichy from 24.08.2017 to 27.08.2017.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. The request of the petitioner is to permit him to conduct Vinayagar Chadhurthi Festival at Sri Muthumariamman Kovil Thidal, Kamaraj Nagar, Ariyamanglaam, Trichy.

4. Since the prayer is only to conduct the festival at the temple itself, we direct the second respondent to grant permission with appropriate conditions. The orders to that effect should be passed by the second respondent by 05.00 p.m., on 24.08.2017.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
