ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent no.1 and 2 to revise the Authorization for Final Settlement of CPS Account by including all the missing credits and the Governments matching contribution and disburse the Contributory Pension to the petitioner with proportionate interest.

2. Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned Senior Counsel, assisted by Mr.T.Aswin Raja Simman, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.K.K.Kannan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the fourth respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to revise the Authorization for Final Settlement of CPS Account by including all the missing credits and the Governments matching contribution and disburse the Contributory Pension to the petitioner with proportionate interest.

5. The petitioner had sent a representation dated 16.05.2024 to the respondents seeking to rework the authorization 4/8

for final settlement of CPS amount and to calculate the missing credit and disburse the CPS amount to the petitioner with periodical interest accrued thereon. As on date missing credits have not been included and the respondents 2 and 3 have not considered the representation of the petitioner so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

6. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the fourth respondent has to trace out the vouchers for the missing credit from their records/registers.

7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the fourth respondent is directed to trace out the vouchers relating to missing credits from the entries made in the relevant acquittance registers and send the particulars to the third respondent in order to enable the respondents to revise the Authorization for Final Settlement of CPS Account. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of 5/8

a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
