ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.
2.Pursuant to the statutory notice issued by us, Thiru.Saravanan, Managing Director, TNSTC Madurai Limited, is present in person. Technically speaking, the remedy available to the petitioner lies before the jurisdictional Labour Court. By allowing the writ appeal filed by the petitioner, we had only confirmed the award passed by the Labour Court. Therefore, the present contempt petition may not really lie before us. 3.Be that as it may, Thiru.Saravanan, the contemnor, submits before this Court that, since the management has filed an SLP against the orders of the Division Bench, they may be given time till the end of August 2026. He further undertakes that, if the management is unable to obtain any interim order from the Hon'ble Supreme Court on or before 2/4
the end of September 2026, the award of the Labour Court shall be complied with. It is also undertaken that the petitioner will not be made to move the Labour Court for getting the relief. 4.Recording the aforesaid undertaking, this Contempt Petition is closed.
