The writ petition has been filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, Madurai District to dispose of the enquiry relating to Cancellation of Patta in Na.Ka.No. 5812/2022/B4. The third respondent, Tahsildar had given a communication on 10.08.2022 in this regard.

2.Let me not enter into any detailed discussion on the merits of the case, since the enquiry is already pending before the second respondent. It is only expected that he takes it to its logical conclusion and passes necessary orders. This order can be passed only, after ensuring that notice is issued to all the parties including the petitioner and also the respondents 4 and 5. Let them follow the procedures as enunciated under law. A direction is given that the enquiry should be completed on or before 30.09.2023 following due process. 2/4
