2. With the consent of learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
3. The petitioner is an holder of an Indian passport. He seeks renewal of the same. It appears that a criminal case is pending against the petitioner. It is pending at the pre-cognizance stage. There is no impediment for processing the petition mentioned application. The first respondent is directed to process the same and issue passport to the petitioner subject to fulfilment of all the usual formalities.
4. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
