ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Cashier of a Co-operative Society seeking a mandamus as against the authority to expedite the surcharge proceedings that are pending against him. 1/4

2.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that the surcharge notice was issued to the petitioner on 09.05.2017 in view of the interim order passed in W.P(MD).No.9496 of 2017. Such surcharge proceedings could not be proceeded with. Now that interim order in WP(MD).No.9496 of 2017 has been vacated and the other writ petitions are closed as infructuous. Therefore, there is no impediment for the authorities to proceed with the surcharge proceedings.

3.In view of the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to expedite the surcharge proceedings and pass orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
