PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to issue no objection certificate to the petitioner for participating in selection process for the recruitment to the post of Sub Inspector of Police as called for under Notification 01/2025 dated Nil, on or before 10.05.2025 and to consider his candidature under the 20% Departmental Quota for the purpose of recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police.

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to issue no objection to enable the petitioner to participate in the selection process. 2.However, it is brought to my notice by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the request of the petitioner has 2/5

been rejected yesterday and the learned Counsel for the petitioner also submits that the said rejection order has been challenged by the writ petitioner.

3.Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition.

4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
