Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 produce the person or body of the petitioner's son namely Kamalraj, (Aged about 24 years) S/o.R.Muralikumar before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) Alleging that the petitioner's son by name Kamalraj, aged about 24 years, was found missing from 27.06.2021, the petitioner has given a complaint to the third respondent police. But, so far no action has been taken by the third respondent to secure the detenu. Hence, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.S.Ravi, learned Standing counsel appearing for the State, on instructions would submit that the petitioner's son has eloped with one Jeyashree of Mathoor and their whereabouts are not known and the third respondent is still taking steps to secure the detenu. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.1178 of 2021 3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and secure the detenu as soon as possible and produce the detenu before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate. On such production, the judicial Magistrate is directed to pass suitable orders, regarding the custody of the detenu, in accordance with law. 4.With the above direction, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
