O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by M.DHANDAPANI, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to ensure strict implementation of the 25% reservation under the RTE Act in all applicable CBSE and ICSE affiliated private unaided schools in Tamil

Nadu, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2025, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as per right to Education Act, 2009, all the private unaided non-minority schools are required to reserve 25% of their seats in Class-1 for the children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. However, the same was not implemented in the schools. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 15.02.2025, seeking to implementation of 25% reservation under the RTE Act in all applicable CBSE and ICSE affiliated private unaided schools in Tamil Nadu. Since the same was not considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition with the above said prayer.

3. Heard the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner either in the representation or in the affidavit filed in

support of this Writ Petition, we direct the respondent concerned to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2025, after giving sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
