O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.) The petitioner filed this Writ Petition in probono publico to direct the Commissioner, Virudhunagar Municipality, to complete the work relating to fencing the Virudhunagar New Bus Stand as expeditiously as possible.

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that notwithstanding the allotment of funds for putting up the fencing, follow up action was not taken by the local body.

3. The Commissioner, Virudhunagar Municipality, filed a counter affidavit dated 24.11.2018 indicating the steps so far taken and the time required for completing the fencing. In Paragraphs 5 and 6 of the counter affidavit, the Commissioner submitted that contract was given to one Asraf Ali and he is presently removing the scrub jungle. According to the Commissioner, the work regarding fencing would be completed within a period of four weeks. The undertaking is taken on record.

4. We direct the Commissioner, Virudhunagar Municipality to complete the process of fencing as indicated in the affidavit, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, on or before 31st December 2018.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
