ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to award adequate police protection while undertaking the job of procuring the property situated in S.F.No. 415, bearing D.No. 6, Universal Garden, Kodhai Nagar, Karur Taluk and District pursuant to the petitioner's representation, dated 21.06.2022. 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the purchaser of the property mentioned in his representation, dated 21.06.2022. In the UCO Bank auction, the petitioner purchased the said property and a valid sale certificate has been issued to him. In pursuant to the sale certificate, the District Collector authorised the Revenue Divisional Officer for issuing necessary proceedings for taking possession. Hence, the Revenue Divisional Officer also issued the proceedings in e/f/vz;/m 2/4

2/338/2020, dated 30.11.2021. But, in order to avoid the taking of possession, the ex-owner of the property locked the premises and went away. Hence this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the respondent police is ready to provide police protection to the revenue officials and bankers for taking the possession from the property. 4.In view of the above, the third respondent police is directed to provide police protection to the petitioner as per the representation, dated 21.06.2022, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
