ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 27.08.2020.
2. Heard Mr.C.T.Perumal learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Ramesh, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent. Notice to the second respondent is dispensed with, as no adverse order is going to be passed against him.
3. The petitioner has given a complaint against his son namely, A.Jonh Sounder, the second respondent herein, under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. He has given a complaint on 27.08.2020. But, till date, the said complaint has not been considered by the first respondent. In such circumstances, this Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The relief sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition is an innocuous relief. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the relief sought for by the petitioner, is granted by this Court.

Accordingly, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.08.2020, submitted under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
