O R D E R This petition is filed seeking quashment of impugned Charge Sheet in S.T.C.No.3012 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul, in Crime No.506 of 2021 on the file of the 1st respondent police.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners are the accused persons in Crime No.506 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 341, 283 and 269 of IPC for violation of COVID - 19 protocols. Final report was also filed on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul, and the same was taken cognizance in S.T.C.No.3012 of 2022. Seeking quashment of the same, this petition has been filed. 4.It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Government of Tamil Nadu has dropped all the cases, which was registered against the public during the pandemic period for violation. So nothing is going to 2/4

be served by directing the petitioner to undergo the trial process or the investigation as the case may be.

5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is allowed and the impugned Charge Sheet in S.T.C.No.3012 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul, in Crime No.506 of 2021 on the file of the 1st respondent police in respect of the petitioner is concerned is hereby quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
