ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ proceedings has been instituted by the NET/SLET Association which is a registered association. The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to set aside G.O.(Ms.) No. 19, Higher education (H1) Department dated 25.01.2019. The Government Order relates to extension of services of the surplus teaching staff of Annamalai University in the cadre of Assistant Professor on redeployment in various discipline in Government Arts and Science Colleges and Colleges of Education for further period of 5 years agreement basis under Section 19 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Condition of Service) Act, 2016. Declaration of teaching staff as surplus and deputing those teachers to other institutions 3/6
are the individual grievances and therefore, the association cannot maintain a writ petition in order to redress the grievances of such individual aggrieved teachers.
2. The Courts have held that association cannot maintain writ petition in service matters in order to redress the grievances of the individual employees.
3. By granting liberty to the aggrieved persons to approach the Court, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
