ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant appropriate permission and adequate police protection to conduct State Level Kabaddi Tournament on 29.12.2018 from 03.00 p.m to 30.12.2018 at about 04.00 p.m., at Public Play Ground, Thoppanayakkanpatty Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District. 2.Heard, Mr.S.Muniyandi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a member of Kabaddi Team. The village people have decided to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 29.12.2018 from 03.00 p.m to 30.12.2018 at about 04.00 p.m.,. In this regard, he has submitted an application on 24.12.2018, seeking permission and Police protection, but so far, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has submitted that the second respondent is having objections only with regard to the venue proposed by the petitioner and hence, the petitioner's representation is kept pending.

5.At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has also agreed to change the venue and make a fresh representation.

6.This Court has considered the above submissions and perused the records.

7.Since the second respondent has raised objection with regard to the venue, in which, the Kabadi Tournament is proposed to be conducted, if any such representation is made by the petitioner changing the venue, the second respondent shall consider the representation and grant permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament within a period of two days.

8.With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
