O R D E R

The resolution of the peace committee meeting of the Tahsildar, Mannamelkudi in Na.Ka.No.1962/2024/A5 dated 12.06.2024, is under challenge in this petition.

2.It is a settled position of law that the Tahsildar is not having any authority to conduct a peace committee meeting and that there is no statutory force on the resolutions if any passed in the peace committee meeting. Therefore, this petition is allowed and the impugned order is set aside. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index :Yes/No 21.06.2024 Internet : Yes/No sji 2/4
