ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner is remanded to judicial custody in Crime No.997 of 2018, on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1) (a), 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act 1937 and he seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that when the respondent police conducted a raid along with their party, the petitioner was found in possession of 96 Orien Brandy bottles (each contains 180 ml). Hence the case has been registered and he has been arrested.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 4.The Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent submitted that there is no previous case pending against the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into consideration of the fact that there is no previous case pending against the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to the following conditions: https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ (i) the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties, each for a

like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thanjavur.

(ii)the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30.am, until further orders.
