... Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's second appeal in S.A.No.2540 of 2022 pending on the file of the 1st respondent within a time fixed by this Court. 1/4

For Petitioner : Mr.N.Pragalathan For Respondents : Mr.B.Saravanan, Standing Counsel for R1.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the first respondent.

2.All that the petitioner wants is that the second appeal filed by him before the information commission should be disposed of expeditiously. I have been consistently holding that no such direction can be issued to the information commission because it is overloaded and that an individual applicant cannot be allowed to jump the queue. Though I am disinclined to issue any direction to the first respondent, the learned standing counsel for the first respondent on his own stated that the petition mentioned second appeal will be disposed of as expeditiously as possible. 3.Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
