This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner on par with his junior with all service and monetary benefits, based on his representation, dated 28.09.2020. 1/3

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submits that his representation will be considered on merit.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, he has restricted his relief and sought to pass appropriate orders to dispose of his representation, dated 28.09.2020.

5. Taking note of the pendency of the representation dated 28.09.2020 and considering the submissions of the learned counsel, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the representation, dated 28.09.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
