The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to consider and pass orders on the application dated 16.08.2017 made by the petitioner within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law on or before 30.08.2017. In case, the second respondent is inclined to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the festival, the same will be subject to the usual conditions by keeping in mind for maintenance of public order and tranquillity.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
