This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction the first and second respondents to conduct survey and demarcate for boundaries in respect of the property in S.Nos.273/4 and 281/3 situated at Thirupuvanam, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District, with the aid of the second respondent and consequently direct the first and third respondents to issue survey reports.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a representation dated 16.04.2025 was made seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the property in question. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent/Tahsildar to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2025 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner, respondents 4 to 6 and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, after 3/6
recording the objections, if any, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs. (K.SURENDER, J) 27.01.2026 NCC :Yes/No Internet :Yes/No Index :Yes/No PKN 4/6
