ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 04.04.2025 in Crime No. 258 of 2024 for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, along with some other accused persons, was found in possession of 21.250 kg of ganja. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in prison since 04.04.2025. Hence, he seeks bail for the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the trial is on the verge of completion. Hence, he objected to the grant of bail to the petitioner at this stage.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also considering the stage of the trial, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
