PETITIONER / ACCUSED NO.1 TO 3 Vs STATE REP. BY THE INSPECTOR OF POLICE, THENI EOW., CRIME NO.914 OF 2018 ... RESPONDENT / COMPLAINANT For Petitioners : No Appearance For Respondent : MR.A.ROBINSON, Government Advocate (Crl. Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police / Inspector of Police, Theni EOW, in connection with Crime No.914 of 2018, has filed the present criminal original petition seeking anticipatory bail.
2. When the matter came up for hearing in the earlier occasion, it was represented on behalf of the respondent police / Inspector of Police, Theni EOW, that no such case was pending as against the petitioner and therefore, this Court was inclined to dismiss the petition. But, it appears that the petitioner has wrongly mentioned the name of the respondent as Inspector of Police, Theni EOW, instead of Inspector of Police, Theni. Therefore, this matter is listed today under the caption 'for clarification'.
3. When the matter is taken up for consideration today, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, submitted that this petitioner is involved in Crime No.914 of 2018 on the file of Theni Police Station and since the respondent's name is wrongly mentioned, it was represented on the other day that there is case pending as against the petitioner.
