O R D E R
This Writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to perform procession of Temple Bulls to be held on 03.09.2017 on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2017 in connection with a temple festival at "Arulmighu Sri Vinayagar, Sri Mahamariamman Sri Sappani Karuppu, Sri Mavadi Karuppu, Sri Nagappasamy, Sri Maduraiveeran Swamy" temple in Edaiyarmangalam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner states that he is a member of temple festival committee of certain named temples in Edaiyarmangalam
Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District. It is the further case of the petitioner that the entire villagers have decided to celebrate Temple Bulls procession on 03.09.2017 in connection with a temple festival at "Arulmighu Sri Vinayagar, Sri Mahamariamman Sri Sappani Karuppu, Sri Mavadi Karuppu, Sri Nagappasamy, Sri Maduraiveeran Swamy" temple, Edaiyarmangalam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District. In this regard, he has also submitted a representation to the respondent, dated 29.08.2017. Since no order has been passed by the respondent, the petitioner states that he is constrained to file the above Writ petition.

Taking into consideration the averments made in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's contentions, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The respondent herein is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2017, purely on merits and in accordance with law and to dispose of the same on or before 02.09.2017."
5. With the above direction, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
