P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent No.2 to promote the petitioner as Office Assistant with the respondent No.4 Hospital based on the seniority and consequently restrain the respondent No.2 from appointing any other person other than petitioner in the post of Office Assistant in the office of respondent No.4 Hospital by considering the representation dated 30.04.2025.

The petitioner seeks promotion from the post of Sanitary Worker to Office Assistant.

2.According to the petitioner, he was placed at Sl.No.5 in the eligibility list and the four persons above him have already been promoted and it is the turn of the petitioner to be promoted next. The petitioner has given a representation in this regard on 30.04.2025 to the third respondent, who, in turn, has forwarded the same to the second respondent for appropriate action.

3.Considering the above, it would suffice to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the aforesaid directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
