ORDER

The petitioner with a grievance that for an offence under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1998, the respondent police have levied a fine of Rs.10,500/-, when the actual fine prescribed is Rs.500/-, has approached this Court.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondent police, confirms that the fine of Rs.10,500/- has been imposed inadvertently instead of Rs.500/- and they would rectify it.

3.Recording the above said submission, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
