ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody since 19.05.2018 for the offence punishable under Sections 8 (c) r/w 20 (b), (ii), (C), and Section 25 of N.D.P.S.Act, in Crime No.76 of 2018, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 19.05.2018, based on secrete information, the respondent police conducted a vehicle check up nearby Madhurapuri Electricity Station, Periyakulam to Theni Road at about 7.20 a.m. with his police party. At that time they intercepted the vehicle of the the petitioner and another and recovered 20 Kilo grams of Ganja. Hence, the case. 3.

The learned for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and accordingly, he prayed for bail. However, Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the trial Court to complete the trial within a stipulated period. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the contraband is commercial quantity and the charge sheet has been filed before the Additional District Judge, Special Court for EC & https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

NDPS Act Cases, Madurai and the same was taken on file as C.C.No.366 of 2018.

5.Considering the materials seized in this case and since the case was charge sheeted, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
