This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to give drought relief funds to the petitioner, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2017.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.It is the specific claim of the petitioner that a portion of the amount had already been disbursed relating to drought relief with regard to his land measuring to an extent of 1 acre 96 cents, situated in S.No.440/4 at Pandrimalai village, Dindigul District and the petitioner has given a representation dated 03.04.2017 to the respondents 2 and 3 seeking remaining payment. As the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition. 4.The third respondent has filed a counter affidavit, wherein it is stated that one Hariharan, vendor of the petitioner had already applied for drought relief and the amount was also disbursed in his favour. In the considered opinion of this Court, the said statement cannot be countenanced.
5.Accordingly, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.
6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
