ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to survey the petitioner's property and fix boundary stones in connection with properties in Survey Nos.691/4B, 691/2A2 and 691/1A2 totally to an extent of 90 1⁄2 cents situated at Melapaguthi Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District, under the supervision of the fourth respondent for surveying the land, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2026, 17.04.2026.

2. The petitioner is claiming right over the property in Survey Nos. 691/4B, 691/2A2, and 691/1A2, measuring a total extent of 901⁄2 cents. Originally, the property belonged to the petitioner's brother, who purchased the same on 2/6

17.12.2020 vide Document No. 3546 of 2020. Thereafter, he executed a registered gift settlement deed dated 25.08.2021, vide Document No. 2521 of 2021, in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, patta stands in the name of the petitioner in Patta No.3737. Now, the petitioner is seeking to survey and demarcate the property.

In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to survey and demarcate the property with assistance of the third respondent, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the rival claimants, if any. If the second respondent requires police protection, the same shall be granted by the fourth respondent. However, the cost of police protection and the installation of boundary stones shall be borne by the petitioner. The official respondents shall adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures:

• The official respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey. • After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction.

• If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
