PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second and third respondents to restore the length of 57.2 meters on the northern side, which was reduced into 56.4 meters and subsequently to 53 meters, to restore the length of 56.2 meters on the southern side which was reduced into 51.8 meters, in the revised field measurement book and other revenue records pertaining to S.F.No. 76/22 of Rangiem Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District. 1/5

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second and third respondents to restore the extent of the property of the petitioner, the length of 57.2 meters on the northern side, which was reduced into 56.4 meters and subsequently to 53 meters, and the length of 56.2 meters on the southern side which was reduced into 51.8 meters, in the revised field measurement book and other revenue records pertaining to S.F.No.76/22 of Rangiem Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District.
2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has not made any application before the respondents seeking to revise the extent of the property. Instead, he has straight away filed this writ petition. He further submits that if the petitioner submits an application, the authorities are ready to consider the same on its own merits. 2/5
3.In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to submit an application before the second respondent along with all necessary documents, if any, forthwith. On receipt of such application, the second respondent is directed to consider the same after giving sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other interested parties and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
