ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.09.2020 for mutation of revenue records in his name, with regard to House Tax No.225, in respect of petitioner's house Door No.1C of Rajakkalpatti Panchayat.
2. Heard Mr.S.Sukumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.R.Murugan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent. 1/3

By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4.The case of the petitioner is that the aforementioned property is his absolute property, having got the same under settlement deed, dated 02.07.2020 (Registered Document No.3089 of Aandipatti Sub Registrar Office, Theni District) executed by his father. According to him, on the strength of the settlement deed, dated 02.07.2020, he submitted an application with the respondents seeking for mutation of revenue records in his name, with regard to house tax No.225 for his house bearing D.No.1C of Rajakkalpatti Panchayat. According to him, till date, the same has not been considered by the respondents. In such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.
5. The relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition is an innocuous relief. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law.
6.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.09.2020 seeking for mutation of revenue records in his name, with regard to house Tax No.225 for his house bearing Door No.1C of Rajakkalpatti Panchayat, after hearing the petitioner as well as the other necessary parties, if any, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
