(Order of the Court was made by G.K. ILANTHIRAIYAN,J.) This appeal has been filed to set aside the conviction and sentence, dated 28.02.2022 made in S.C.No.282 of 2015, on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the appellant and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that while pending the appeal, the appellant/sole accused died on 01.08.2023.

3. In view of the above, the entire conviction and sentence against the appellant is abated and the Criminal Appeal is dismissed as abated.
