Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner by rectifying the UDR errors in respect of the property situated in S.No. 358/15 to an extent of 54 cents, Ettayapuram Village and Taluk, Thoothukudi District in pursuant to the proposal sent by the first respondent vide his Letter No. K4/18576/2019, dated 30.04.2021, within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking to grant patta to the petitioner by rectifying the UDR errors with respect to property at S.No. 358/15 measuring 54 cents in Ettayapuram Village and Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the first respondent had given a proposal in this regard by Letter No. K4/18576/2019, dated 30.04.2021.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the authorities have admitted that there is an error in the UDR during UDR survey and the same should be rectified.

4.A direction is issued to the third respondent to issue notice to the petitioner, examine the records and to take necessary steps for rectification. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
